Chapter 4

Her pretty friend, Amy, with her Eurasian beauty and outgoing personality, stood on the top step of her porch looking intently as Hannah’s soon to be ex-husband, Luke appeared to be trying to explain something. Hannah didn’t know what to do. Should she get out of the car and demand to know what was happening or wait and see what occurred next? Her decision was taken away from her as she watched Luke lean in and kiss Amy. Hannah covered her eyes with her hands, not wanting to see more.

Baniti laughed. Hannah kept her eyes covered, not wanting to witness the betrayal of her best friend with her husband. Why is he laughing? She was indignant. Does he not understand the situation or the pain this causes me?...
