Screaming, panicked, Max erupted violently from unconsciousness with the dying cries of a woman burning in her brain. She searched frantically to establish her surroundings, but the unfamiliar room with its white walls and beeping machines was giving her an anxiety attack. Or, maybe it was just the voices here.
