~Rain~

Sometimes softly

Sometimes loudly

It drops from the Heavens.

Slowly

In a torrent.

We measure it

Stick our tongues out

For it.

It nourishes

Our plant life.

Making things pretty

With deep greens

And colors

Galore.

Heaven’s tears.

And when God

Is sad

He lets us know

With the rains

His tears.
