In language lies the power to express,

A means to share the joy and deep distress,

Conveying feelings, hopes, and fears,

A bridge across the chasms of the years.

But words can wound or keep apart,

A tool of power to break a heart.

We can uplift every soul we reach,

Or break the spirits with our speech.

If it's a choice, I'd rather compose,

Songs or sonnets, poetry or prose.
