There is a knot in my heart,

I cannot untie

No matter how much I want to,

I fail to find peace under this blue sky.

 

But maybe there is a way to loosen

The hold pain has on my soul,

And find a ray of hope,

Getting back the joy this sea of people stole.

 

Seeing the surrounding beauty,

Maybe I should seek the answers within,

Then I might feel less alone-

And accept me, forgiving my unknown sin.

 

Or I might be blindsided,

By the lies that surround me,

Making me feel small,

Deep inside, hiding the truth, I should see.

 

I wish to find the light,

To guide me as I navigate,

The treacherous road of life,

While facing my ultimate fate.

 

No different from anyone else,

All my heart seeks is acceptance,

And maybe some love,

Proving life’s not a random coincidence.
