when mortality sinks in its nails
it won't let you forget the end
or deny the tyranny of the middle
     the place where the fat collects
     a manager that no one respects
     the seat where no one wants to sit
     the child with the most issues
     a location that doesn't matter so you just fly over
mainlining the slow drip of mediocrity's bitter medicine
is there a balance to strike here?
or is this just least resistance?
