I am

     cracked sidewalk and flowerbeds

     the iron and potential of train tracks

          sinew rails ground me to earth

     the gut punch of rejection 

          and the chances between jabs

     elevation on the vapor of whirlwind ideas

          my skull an opium den on the best day

          (beware the never-dead coals of a flash fire brain)

     revelation engulfed by misunderstandings

     thwarted ambition stabbed by my stunt double

     wrist-slapp...
