the passage of things

separates skin from muscle, dreams from reality

     everything sags (flesh, energy, hope)

the aging conscious animal asks inevitable questions

    am I still of interest?

    are there still any takers?

    anyone willing to look?

    can this semblance still inspire?

years gone, appeal behind

still, our formless selves call unbodied for desire
