I need some wants

   to give life jagged edges

   push hesitation off ledges

   and climb over obscuring hedges

The comfort these days

   makes us all damn fat

   proves the world is flat

   turns us into racing rats

Starvation might bring

   some o' that inspiration

   that good vibration

   that transubstantiation

Gimme some lack

   so I can strive

   so I can arrive

   and feel goddamn alive

There's somebody I need to be

   who knows when to fight

   when it's time for flight

   and remembers either one...
