and Adam surrendered them.  He watched the lab doctor take the samples, put them in between some glass, and put the glass under a huge microscope.  He grabbed a lamp for more light and buried his face in the tiny eyehole.  Adam stared intently at him, as the doctor shook his head then nodded.  He “mm”ed a few times and “uh huh”ed a few more, then pulled his head back from the microscope and glanced at Adam.

     “Let me see another sample.”

     Adam got out another sample and handed it to him.  He took it, put it between the glass plates, and put it under the light and microscope.  He asked Adam for another sample, then another, then another.  With each one, he “mm”ed and “uh huh”...
