     The men hobbled out, clutching their stomachs and Adam turned to Dessie.

     “We may be looking at an epidemic here, Des.  Too many sick already.  We could lose a few.”

     Dessie’s mouth dropped and her eyes got wide.  She hung on to every word her husband said.

     “They saw a food poisoning epidemic here right before Pa and I moved here.  People have told me about it over the years.  It killed one fourth of the town then.”

     “Oh, Adam,” Dessie gas...
