Then, he buried his face in his hands and groaned.  “I’m a pa.”

     With his head in his hands, he could hear Ryan laughing at him quietly, but clearly.

     “Yep, my lad, you are indeed a pa now.”  Ryan got up, walked over to Adam and touched his shoulder.  “And you’ll be a good one.  I know you will, son,” Ryan told the new, young pa, his voice confident, knowing.
