“Don’t remember that being in the rules, Jed,” Adam teased.  “Well, whatever you it was harder than your fist.  You’ve broken every bone in your hand, knuckles included.  I’ll have to set it and cast it.  Dessie, I need the plaster and some water.”

     “Right away,” Dessie answered and went to go get the needed materials.

     Adam grabbed his stitching needle and thread and sat down with Jed’s hand under the light.

     “There are a few places that need stitching then I’ll bandage those places up so the plaster won’t stick to them.”
