dropping her bread and rushing into her pa’s open arms.  “Thank you, Pa.  Thank you.”  Then, she hugged and kissed her ma.  “Thank you, Ma.  Thank you both.”

     “You’re welcome.  Now, you finish supper and get to your homework,” Ryan encouraged.

     “Yes, sir.”

     She downed her cup of milk and then ran upstairs to her room with her stack of school books.
