without hesitation, and he helped her climb up into his buckboard.  Dessie turned fast to Sarah.  “Go by my house and tell Mama and Papa where I am.”

     They drove off, the horses galloping as fast as they could, leaving a huge cloud of dust, and a young woman behind with her mouth hanging open in shock.  Dessie had actually gone with the young, handsome doctor!  Any girl in hero township would be so delighted to be sitting next to him on his buckboard.  And there was Dessie!  Sarah thought how lucky her friend was, as she made her way to Dessie’s house to deliver her message.
