Kensei scrambled backward, away from the many daggers stabbing at her. She drew her sword and used it and the scabbard to parry some of the blades, as well as discourage people from getting closer. When she could, she struck with her scabbard. These weren't practiced knife fighters, but there were a lot of them, and she still hurt from having just fallen off of a speeding car.

At the edge of her vision, Traffic Enforcer waded into the middle of his own opponents while swinging his police baton wildly. She didn't know how he planned to turn "getting stabbed to death while surrounded" into a winning situation, but she wasn't in a position to argue.
