Hello, dear friend!  Let me tell you a tale,

One that’s old and long forgotten.

It’s of the magical creatures,

Who live in peach trees,

In the land of pecans and cotton.

With pinky-orange skin,

Just like the fruit,

From the trees in which they live.

And gossamer wings, shining in the moonlight,

Quite enchanting and effusive.

They wear their hair so very long,

Boasting different shades of green.

From pine to collard, even kudzu,

It’s an amazing sight to be seen!

They wear clothes made of peach blossoms,

Leaves, petals and all.

So lovely their makeshift clothes are,

From Winter, Spring, Summer, and Fall.
