Fiery shades abound

Orange leaves like burnt embers

Brightness has faded

The weakened sun now matches

Carpeting crisp leaves

Fall: Dark

A roadside motel

Leaves reduced to confetti

Under sleepy steps

Fall: Dawn

Sunlight approaches

Returning to the highway
