The kitchen is hot and barely breathable from the grill and you would know this by every flame that kisses the steaks. It's a 100 degree plus summer day at this Washington, DC waterfront restaurant and the air conditioner has been broken in the building for a couple of days. Our A/C man wont show up until tomorrow mostly because he's lazy. Wait, hang on...he's actually out at the bar taking shots with the restaurant owner, Charlie, and they're good pals. A/C man said he'll do it today or tomorrow. This depends on how inebriated he and the owner become as the day/evening progresses. Neither care that much, as long as the tables are filling up just like their bladders. They'll get our A/C back on when it's not so busy. And then Charlie...
