I picked my son up from basketball camp yesterday. He spent 3 days at the seminary high school without any WiFi. He couldn’t text us for 3 days. I joked it was like summer camp back in the 80’s.

Did you get to experience the euphoria that is summer camp? I spent 6 glorious 2 week periods away from home growing up. I loved camp. Even when we had to make lanyards.

My son had a great time, made new friends and learned new skills.  Exactly what you’re supposed to do at camp.

I on the other hand, got into some trouble at summer camp.  Nothing major, just the shenanigans of someone away from home and feeling her freedom big time. Or, as I look on it now, the freedom to be a holy terror.

I was really good at teepeeing cabins. Like PhD level good....
