Moms don’t get a sick day.  I take that back, anyone caring for small children do not get a sick day.

I didn’t put a column out last week because I was too sick.  I had a bronchial infection that had me flat on back and asleep unless I was running kids back and forth to school, dance class or basketball. I managed to get up and make lunches, help with homework and sort of fix dinner. (We ate a lot of sandwiches last week).  I did teach my ESL classes in the mornings online because I didn’t want to be fired, or pay the company $10 for each class I missed.   I also threw my now 10 year old a sleepover party with a cookie cake, a family party with a LEGO cake and made birthday treats for his class.
