I have always been fascinated with cheerleading.  Shortly before I turned 7, we watched my teenage babysitter cheer at a high school football game. I loved the routines, the uniforms and the obvious bond between the girls. They were confident, poised, athletic and probably cold, but I didn’t see that part. I saw them as part of something important and FANTASTIC, and I wanted in! To me, they were the epitome of beauty and if I could be a cheerleader, I could be beautiful too.
