When I was a kid, New Year’s resolutions were easy. I’d resolve to be nice to my brother and get my homework done on time. By January 10th I would have broken both resolutions and not felt a bit bad about it. Such was life.
In my twenties I’d always resolve to lose weight and I usually did it. Losing weight was easy back then. I had willpower for days!!! Yogurt was dinner but I wore whatever I wanted and looked fantastic. Ah, youth.
In my thirties, I still resolved to lose weight, but it didn’t usually happen. Some years I’d make it all the way to Halloween with my workout regimen and healthy eating, then the craziness of the holidays would throw me off and I’d beat myself up until January 1st when I’d do it all again.
