Kids. One minute they're the cutest, sweetest little people we'd die for and the next they're demons who give us grey hair and eat their own boogers. Most days parents can win a few battles and eventually the war, but then Halloween arrives and the proverbial shit hits the fan.

Don't get me wrong. I love Halloween as much as the next girl. I decorate the house inside and out, host a Halloween bash for the kids, and hand out full sized candy bars on the big day.  Full. Sized.

I've got Halloween down.

What I haven't got down is the ability to keep my kids from losing their ever loving minds on the days leading up to Halloween. Or Christmas. Or their birthdays. Okay, any big event coming up will cause my kids to morph into spazzes.
