Today I woke up feeling Blue

With swirls of Gray and spots of White

And here and there a dash of Red

Just spoiling for a fight.

On the bus I met a stranger

As I slumped into my seat

She politely asked, "How are you?"

While I glumly watched my feet.

"A little Blue," I answered

Her smile was warm and mellow

"I see," she said, then whispered

"i woke up quite Yellow!"

I'll admit, I was astounded

I could barely even think

When the wrinkled man across the aisle

Announced, "I'm feeling Pink 

With Orange stripes and polka dots

In every shade of Green.

I haven't felt as slick as this...
