Evidence is King, as Cal says, so we spent the last week gathering as much as we could about the O’Leary family. We printed out all the interactions Michael O’Leary and Jamie had online. We gathered all the nasty snide notes he had dropped in Jamie’s bag too and saved them in an envelope. Cal would have loved to have taken fingerprints and checked handwriting but as I pointed out, this wasn’t a criminal case.

We didn’t tell Hannah. I didn’t want to freak her out, but I did bring her for a walk on the beach and a hot chocolate afterwards. I quizzed her about exactly who Chloe O’Leary had targeted in her class, when and how. I typed it all up afterwards and the picture of Chloe as class bully emerged. I t...
