Pinterest isn’t cool according to my son. I finally joined social media and apparently it’s only for middle-aged women who sew.

I glared at him and he backed out of the room. Hannah grinned from the kitchen table where she was supposed to be answering questions in her English workbook.

“Do you have something to add, dearest daughter?”

“Does he get money every time he uses that word?”

“What word?”

“Cool.”

She had a point. It has become my son’s second favourite word, second only to “lame”. Everything I do is lame and everything he does is cool.
