As the news magazine’s offices burned behind her, Isabella reached into her purse and took out her cell phone.

“That’s it,” she said. “It’s over.”

“Not yet,” Gabriel interjected.

They had been on the defensive. Fortunately, they had succeeded in rescuing Ruaridh and Sweeney. Unfortunately, the costs had been high.
