The war against HRL took on a new spin this week with the entrance of a new element.

The weather changed again. It was a rainy Monday in New Orleans as the month of October began.

Two pairs of rain boots trudged along a flooded sidewalk. The little girl looked as miserable as the weather as the woman dragged her by the arm. Finally the woman picked the girl up and carried her, but without any sense of motherly care. The child was clearly a bother to her.

As it should be, since the child had been forced into her care.

Ana grumbled as they returned to the hostel. This one was in Mid-City, on Esplanade Avenue.  It was the third hostel they had been assigned. Somehow, the hostels where they stayed kept getting inf...
