all too familiar to her. They were businessmen - founders of major corporations based in New Orleans, excluding Rennick, who was a well-known financial analyst. None of those men had ever expressed interest in politics, which made the cover-up somewhat odd. Moynahan frequently spoke of such matters with disdain, Rennick was too scatterbrained for it, and Bloodworth was always abroad.

And none of the men seemed to have any ties to the supernatural, aside from Moynahan being a member of the Brotherhood, the group that monitored relations between humans and their Gifted neighbors.  

She decided to try her Brotherhood contacts again. Neither Aaron Weissman nor Astaire Kenton answered their phones, but that was typical of them on a weekday afternoon. Cian Blytheman did answer, so Sayeva did not try John Black.
