That made Sayeva feel more confident. "How did it go?"

"As well as it could have given the circumstances." Samuel paused for a moment. "I took Cavanaugh with me. He kept up a conversation with the Coven members and I took note of what was said."

"Was Cantrell there?" There was a hopeful note in Sayeva's tone.

"No, he wasn't. But the ones we spoke to sounded properly terrified of him. And according to Cavanaugh, their story is legit."

Sayeva nodded. "What does Cavanaugh think now?"

"Well, no one admitted to being supernatural. I think they could tell we were human and acted with a large amount of precaution. But one mentioned that this Cantrell owns the police force. Cavanaugh says there is in fact someone...
