Lost in a dream that I can't wake from.

That must be what is going on these days, it is the only explanation I have for the chaos going on in the world. It's easy for me to turn off the television, put away the phone and pretend that nothing is happening. Aside from not being able to leave the house, life has been calmer than usual, despite what is going on “out there”.

This was the ideal life I had envisioned for me all those years ago. Being an introvert, it hasn't been as hard as I anticipated to stay out of the comings and goings on the outside. There are so many conveniences that we didn't have all those years ago. I don't even have to go out to the store for my groceries, which can get delivered right to my doorstep...
