I'm taking a much-needed break from my latest writing project to write this installment. You could say that I am avoiding work, but I think of it as having a “creative pause”. I'm still writing, am I not? It's just intended for a different end goal.

This time of year, November, I embark on the NaNoWriMo challenge. What is that you may be asking, well, those who don't know. It's where you challenge yourself to write the equivalent of a novel in only a month. So that is 50,000 words. This is my fourth year taking on this challenge, and you think I'd learn to manage my time better.
