Life can be less than ideal sometimes.

Okay, it's more than some of the time, it's a lot of the time. There are moments where the calm settles, everything seems to be going according to some sort of plan, it's good, too good. All of a sudden “BAM”! A proverbial steamroller crushes your very soul. I know that sounds rather, dastardly, and perhaps it isn't as that dramatic, but those are the moments that really make you pause and wonder what you could've possibly done to be punished by the universe.

Now, I don't want to be a downer. I want to be realistic. I used to wear my rose coloured glasses, pretending that the world wasn't falling apart around me. It's exhausting to pretend that I have it all...
