One of my publishers recently went on a bender, or some such nonsense, and consequently imploded. If things go as they should – but really, when do they ever? – I should be getting the rights back to several of my stories this spring. I am at a loss at what to do with them when I get them though. Self-publishing is the answer everyone gives me, but I did a little experiment with it a few years ago with a short story called The Secrets of Dreams and it was not the fields of roses and daises and chocolate-covered kisses people make it out it be.

I mean it was great fun and all that, but it did not do nearly as well as I anticipated. I don’t why, but I just expected tons of fabulously automatic sales. A lot of that had to do with the fact that prior to The Secrets of Dreams...
