Happy New Year Everyone!!!

New Year’s Day is a time for new beginnings, goal settings, plans for the future. And while I can get behind all of that, today, this first day of 2016, rather than leave the past year totally behind and look solely ahead, I find myself in more of a reflective mood.

I tend to lament too many things in my life. There are too many things I consider to be personal failures. I wanted to take this opportunity to start off the New Year thinking about the small blessings, the tiny wonderful things I all too often take for granted. There is nothing extravagant on this list, but I am grateful for each and every one.

I am healthy and strong and fully independent.
