As many of you may know, I've been looking for an agent for about seven months now. I've submitted my book to around thirty different agencies at this point and if I get any response at all – which is a very rare thing – it's a rejection. And the worst kind of rejections too. I mean, just rude. They are form letters of course, but instead of just saying banal things like, "this isn't right for me" or "my list is full at this time," these rejections say stuff like, "with an already crowded client list, I am forced to be extremely selective when considering new clients…This is a highly subjective business of course, and another agency may feel differently."
