I had a really hard time trying to decide what to write today.

We all know what to day is, how it is probably the beginning of years of terror and despair, inequality and hatred, bigotry and willful ignorance. By the random grace of birth, I probably won’t be too adversely affected, and I know just how lucky I am. Through no effort on my part, I’m white and I live in a white neighborhood. Though I am a woman, I’m aging out of the range where reproductive rights would be a big issue. I make too little money to be of much interest to anyone with power and too much to worry about benefits I may have had to rely upon being taken away.
