Janos Szabo hated board meetings; and loathed the paperwork that went with them even more. At least now that Clair was out of the way there was a chance that the school could get on with things and do something; anything was better than the endless going round and round in ever decreasing circles without a decision: any decision would be better than the continuing impasse.

Szabo felt his blood pressure rising as he thought back to Father William’s filibustering. The man was a master! Could the old duffer not see that Templeton Taylor’s foundation was going bankrupt? Then what use would all the Brotherhood’s votive prayers have been?
