the captain sinking quickly. His motionless frame was spread out like a star. Luckily, his suit would keep him breathing, as mine was doing for me. I caught a glimpse of my wrist screen, and it indicated that my oxygen level was at 100%. Some good news, at least. I dove down towards the rapidly sinking captain. After a few moments of strenuous kicking, I managed to land a hand on him. But further down, I saw the device sinking even faster. I knew that the majority of the ship was underwater. These hallways stretch on forever… If I didn’t catch the device now, I might never see it again. I looked at Shevchenko. He was unconscious. If I was fast enough, I could retrieve the device before it sank too far and grab him on my way up.
