         A terrified noise squeaked out of me before I sucked in another mouthful of water. Whatever sturdy, slimy thing that wiggled past me had just as quickly disappeared. I kicked frantically, ignoring the ocean water in my lungs, the burn in my muscles and cramp in my calf. Every iota of my being prioritized getting as far as possible from this unidentified sea-dweller. I began racing towards the raft even faster than before. Panicked, I yelled to the passengers again.

         “Hey! HEY! TURN AROUND!!”
