still didn’t know what to make of this girl. Jess. Jess who? I didn’t make an account on the school system, so I didn’t even know her last name. But names don’t matter. Can’t say I know who gave me mine, or why.

 

She was definitely pretty though. Incredibly pretty, in fact. The type of pretty that makes you keep track of how often you look at her. I’m not particularly self-conscious, but any time our glances crossed, I couldn’t help but look away and act as though I didn’t notice her. But I did. I always did.
