I dedicate this story to all the victims of 9/11, especially the ones who didn’t die physically, but to those who died emotionally, and to those who struggle every day to go on without their loved ones.

     He only had been passing by, but he knew he had to help.  No one else was around.  In the darkness, he saw no one else.  The only light came from the burning house.

     A little girl sat on the front lawn, crying and screaming for her mom.  He approached her quickly.

     “What’s wrong?  Are you okay?  Is there anyone still in the house?”

     “My mama’s still in there,” she screamed.
