The older kids still worked on their schoolwork in the kitchen.  Bruce, I guess, used to just jumping right in on doing whatever needed to be done, did just that.  He began folding laundry, and putting it in the empty basket.  I was pleasantly surprised to see how good he was at it.  He just sat in the rocking chair, and folded laundry, and talked.  It all came so easily to him, and for a few seconds, I wondered if Bruce had a brother, just like him, at home.

     “What do you do for your job, Bruce?” I asked him.

     “I’m a photographer for National Geographic.”

     “Really?” I exclaimed
