I found my voice shaking anyway.  I tried to talk through tears and a sandpaper throat.

     “How did you escape all the police that day after you shot him?”

     “I was a shadow.  I was a shadow that day, along with whoever else was there to kill him.  We were shadow faces to witnesses.  People thought they saw us, but then they weren’t sure they saw us.  They couldn’t put names to us or even positively identify our faces.  I slipped out from behind the fence in the aftermath commotion, and I became a shadow, a ghost, a theory, while everyone thought that Oswald did it and took the fall for all of us.”

     “What did you do?  You just killed our President.&nbs...
