     “I know, but being here is where you need to be.”

     “No.  Being with you is where I need to be.  Us being together, like old times, is what’s helping me heal, not a place.  I want to find out about Fannie.  We’ve opened up this secret, and I want to see it through to the end, and find out some answers.  Besides, getting involved with her life takes away some of my pain, and self-pity, and I’m focusing on something, and someone else.  It’s doing me good, truly.”
