The next morning, after a restless night’s sleep I blamed on being in another place, and not my own bed, I woke up raring to get onto the Titanic mystery. Tessa had gone out earlier to get some pastries and coffee, and had set it up on the back deck by the time I woke up. We ate, and talked, and laughed about the old school days, while downing our pastries and coffee, and enjoying our sugar high.
After breakfast, I wanted to get down to Titanic business. I smelled a story, and once I got in that mode, it was rough for me to steer away from it. I didn’t know where it was going to lead, but I knew there was more to that letter than met the eye, and I was going to find out what it was.
