I’m now at the age where conversations involve comparing aches and pains to those of others. Like in a game of poker, you see someone’s hip and raise them a colon.

Aging hasn’t been fun. In fact, it’s been working against me. The day I turned 44, it felt like I’d turned 80. I became the aging, old, annoying person who does nothing but complain about aches and pains. It was like an alarm clock went off somewhere and the aging process and demise began. Various body systems went haywire at the exact same time.
