She walked into the bedroom and instantly felt a heaviness in the air. It felt strangely warm and oppressive. Something was very different about the room and she couldn’t put her finger on what it was. As she tried to process this new feeling, she had the oddest feeling that she wasn’t alone. Suddenly, an odor filled her nostrils. It was a combined scent of roses and earthen dampness. The smell caught her off guard and she paused before resuming a slow pace.
Roses? Where is the smell coming from?? She thought to herself as she methodically eased her way in to the expanse of the room between her bed and dresser. The room was quite large, and with the ceiling fan at full power, there was normally plenty of circulation or air flow to keep many people quite comfortable. But the fan did...
