As the sun pokes out from behind the silhouette of Garth, Doug squints and asks, “Then why are you here?”

“It was important that you and all of the people here today realize that there is a sizable and vocal contingent that believes your course of action can only lead to devastation,” replies Garth coolly.

Doug nods, trying to clear his eyes of the sunspots distorting his vision. “You’ve made your position known. You’ve also shown me that you have supporters. I get it. However, I am very confident and comfortable in telling you that we will continue to do our work. This project will keep advancing forward.”
